If You're in a Race Photo
If you're in a race photo and just want it taken down, you don't need a copyright notice. Open the photo, press Report or remove, and choose "This is a photo of me, please remove it."
How to Send a Copyright Notice
Your notice must be in writing (email is fine) and include:
1. Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name works). 2. A description of the copyrighted work you believe was copied. 3. Where the material is on Run This, with a link if possible. 4. Your name, mailing address, phone number and email. 5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law. 6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act for them.
If you knowingly misrepresent that something is infringing, you may be liable for damages.
What Happens Next
We remove or disable access to the material promptly and let the person who posted it know.
If Your Content Was Removed (Counter-Notice)
If you believe your content was removed by mistake, or you have the right to use it, you can send a counter-notice to our copyright agent. It must include:
1. Your physical or electronic signature. 2. What was removed and where it appeared before it was removed. 3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification. 4. Your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you're outside the US, any court where Run This may be found), and that you'll accept legal papers from the person who sent the original notice.
We send your counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us within 10 business days that they've filed a lawsuit, we may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive your counter-notice.
Repeat Infringers
We remove upload access, and in appropriate cases close the accounts, of people who repeatedly post content that infringes others' copyrights.
