Potential Updates to Course, Location, Time NEW Swag, Apparel, Medals, and MORE!  Registration set to open for this race on September 1st Ice Breaker 8k Lakeside Park - Piedmonth SC Trail Race to Warm Up this Winter   The Ice Breaker 8K is back and Square One Events will be hosting it for the 5th time at Lakeside Park in Piedmont, SC. The trail system at Lakeside Park is ideal for beginners looking to test out their trail shoes or even advanced runners looking to find some speed around the various switchbacks and turns!  The course will feature a rolling run/walk/hike through the woods using the "Every Minute Trail" and "All Day, Baby Trail". We never know what the weather will be like, but we know you'll have a great time together. Come join the fun and add this race to your early season schedule now. Runners, walkers, hikers and furry friends (on leash) are welcome. Due to the terrain, strollers are not recommended.   Start/Finish & Parking Start/Finish will be between the baseball diamonds and the football field on the east side of Lakeside Park. Parking is available in the marked spaces around the baseball fields.   What: Ice Breaker 8k Trail Race When: Saturday January 31, 2026 Time: Race Starts @ 9:00am Where: Lakeside Park, 1500 Piedmont Hwy, Piedmont, SC 29673 Packet Pickup: 1 Hour Prior to your race start time near starting line Aid Station: Will be located on the course at 2 separate mile markers   Course Map Here - All Trails Map Single track trails that are beginner friendly with minimal roots and just a few gradual inclines. The course starts with a short lap around the baseball diamond sidewalk to space out the 150 runners before heading into the trail head which includes several undulations, switch backs and a central hub where our aid station will be located.
