Whether you run, walk, or come out to support the cause, every step helps us raise awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and build safer, more prepared communities. The morning will begin with a dynamic group warm-up before participants take off for the timed 5K. After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy water and refreshments while cheering on fellow runners and walkers. We’ll close the event with a group photo and recognition of our race winners. Why We Run?  Bailey Bullock was only 16 years old when he died from Sudden Cardiac Arrest on May 12, 2021. Since Bailey’s passing, Bailey’s Heart & Soul Foundation has been committed to increasing awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and helping ensure that schools, families, and communities are prepared to recognize and respond to a cardiac emergency. On April 25, 2024, Governor Wes Moore signed the Bailey Bullock Act into Maryland law, helping ensure that Maryland schools have Cardiac Emergency Action Plans in place to respond quickly and effectively when a cardiac emergency occurs. Proceeds from Bailey’s Heart & Sole 5K help support the Foundation’s lifesaving programs and initiatives, including: Youth heart screenings CPR and AED education and training AED fundraising and placement initiatives Sudden Cardiac Arrest awareness and education Cardiac emergency preparedness in schools and communities Register.
