## Description

Lyons-Heart Gravel Classic • Mandan, North Dakota

New Date!

Saturday, August 28, 2027

A premier gravel cycling experience through the heart of North Dakota's Northern Great Plains. Choose your challenge: a 35-mile non-competitive ride, 65-mile race, or the ultimate 100-mile test of endurance.

This year, we're bringing gravel back to its roots with a new home at the USDA Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory. A place dedicated to understanding the land, and the perfect starting point for an event that celebrates it.

From winding roads through the Lyon's Den to punchy climbs and long stretches of open prairie gravel, the course showcases the rolling terrain and unmistakable character of western North Dakota. Whether you're chasing a fast finish, testing your endurance, or simply taking in the miles, expect a ride that rewards smart pacing, confident line choice, and a little grit.

Small town vibes. Big race energy. This is the Lyons-Heart Gravel Classic.
