2027 Palmer Park Event Series: 8K, 5K, 1 Mile Run & Walk

Welcome Home Wellness Alliance is proud to present our 7th Annual Palmer Park 8K, 5K & 1 Mile Run & Walk Event Series + Outdoor Yoga. This annual pride-themed event is in support of the People for Palmer Park, a local non-profit organization, committed to furthering the preservation, revitalization, and viability of Palmer Park, and Ruth Ellis Center, our neighbors dedicated to providing trauma-informed services for lesbian, and gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth, and young adults, with an emphasis on young people of color, experiencing homelessness, involved in the child welfare system, and/or experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing.

Please join us for a community celebration of running, yoga, Pride Month and uplifting neighborhood Detroit Parks on Sunday, June 13th!

Event Day Schedule:
6:30 AM - 8:00 AM: Check-In & Packet Pickup
8:00 AM: Opening Ceremony
8:15 AM: 1 Mile Begins
8:45 AM: 8K and 5K Begins
10:00 AM: Yoga Session
11:00AM: End of Event

*** 8K & 5K Registration includes Shirt, Medal, BIB & Interactive Online Media. 1 Mile Fun Run includes Medal, Bib, Interactive Online Media, and w/wo a shirt based on your choice. All Virtual Registration packets will be mailed after the event.

Please note: Shirts and medals are not guaranteed for registrants past May 11th due to national supply chain issues.
