# Longest Day 5K at Camp Talooli - **When:** Sun, Jun 20, 2027 · 7:00 PM CDT - **Where:** 520 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY, 13132 - **Event page:** https://runthis.run/event/rs-204468-longest-day-5k-at-camp-talooli ## Registration Register on the event's own site: https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Pennellville/CampTalooliLongestDay5K?aflt_token=58wBqomPr6bPwa1YDhuKo0IQvrNCjzTq ## Description Come enjoy the longest day of the year with a 5K run/walk starting and finishing at Camp Talooli, a rustic, lakeside summer camp in the woods of Pennellville, NY, just 25 miles north of Syracuse.  Camp Talooli is a favorite local day and overnight camp that has provided nature-based adventure and education to children throughout central New York for over 70 years.  Your registration will help to fund a week at camp for at least one lucky child this summer!  Your run will start at Nokomis Lodge, a hillside lodge overlooking the lake at Camp Talooli.  The first 1.5 miles of your run will be on beautiful single track trail through the forest.  A short climb out of the forest will bring you back to Nokomis Lodge, where your friends and family can cheer you on as you fly past.  From here you'll run out onto a 3/4 mile stretch of country roads, and then will return to Camp Talooli on the Oswego Recreation Trail.  This race is perfect for seasoned trail runners looking to race a new location, or for first timers looking to get their start at trail running.  It's also perfect for all of the parents who drop their kids of at summer camp and wish they could stay for the Camp Talooli experience!  This is your chance!  Walkers are also welcome at this event.  After your run, enjoy the magic of fireflies lighting up the field around you as you enjoy popsicles and cookies, or a marshmallow toasted over the campfire.  You'll also have the opportunity to indulge in a slice of Camp Talooli's famous "mega-dog", one of the most popular meals served to the kids during their week at camp.   Each runner will receive a t-shirt and set of Camp Talooli / Longest Day 5K dog tags as you cross the finish line.  Each year kids at camp get a set of dog tags engraved with their name, and they become one of their prized possessions.  You can start collecting your dog tags by joining us for the inaugural Longest Day 5K at Camp Talooli.  We can't wait to see you at summer camp! --- Source: [https://runthis.run/event/rs-204468-longest-day-5k-at-camp-talooli](https://runthis.run/event/rs-204468-longest-day-5k-at-camp-talooli) — data from Run This (runthis.run).
