It is a movement to bring hope, awareness, and support to children fighting cancer and the families walking beside them every day. The event was created in memory of Akanimo (“Nimo”), who battled Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. Through this annual event, the Akanimo Cancer Foundation continues its mission to create awareness, support childhood cancer research, and provide meaningful assistance to families in need.
