The Alumni Society of Christopher Newport University is excited to bring back the Captains 5K! This scenic run through CNU’s beautiful campus gives participants the chance to experience new additions, familiar landmarks, and the signature landscaping that makes Christopher Newport feel like home. Everyone is welcome to participate – alumni, students, faculty, neighbors, friends, family, and anyone who wants to enjoy a great Spring morning on campus.

To make sure there’s something for everyone, we’re also hosting the Captains Dash – a shorter, fun, family‑friendly race for kids of all ages.

After you cross the finish line, stick around for the Blue & Silver Bash, our post‑race celebration on the lawn at the Alumni House. It’s the perfect chance to reconnect with fellow Captains and enjoy time with the broader CNU community.

By participating, you’re helping to strengthen the Captain community for years to come.
