# Run for Good News 5K Run/Walk and Salute to the Military

## Description

This 5k will benefit the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship Lakelands District and its Good News Clubs.  The course is an off-road course through the woods around Greenwood Christian School.  We will also be saluting the military members at this race in conjunction with the 250th birthday of America and offering a trophy for the branch of the military with the quickest 5K time.  The overall 1st place male and female will win $200 with those under 18 getting the equivalent of $200 in merchandise should they win in order to maintain NCAA standards. The over 50 top male and female winner will receive a $100 prize. Top finishers in each age category will receive a medal.

8:30 am Salute to the military (featuring a performance by Palmetto Girls Sing plus more)

9:00 am Race Begins
