## Description

Start Your Holiday Season with a Turkey Trot!

Join us for the 2nd Annual Farmingdale Elementary PTC Turkey Trot 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, November 14, 2026.

This family-friendly event brings together Farmingdale Elementary families and members of the surrounding community for a morning of fitness, fun, and school spirit.

Whether you are racing the 5K, walking with family and friends, or cheering on young runners in the Fun Run, everyone is welcome to participate.

Race Events

5K Run/Walk
The 5K is open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The event will be professionally timed by FastScore Race Timing & Productions.

Childcare available for their parents if they choose to use the kid-care while the adults are racing in the mile or 5k! 

Jogging/off-road strollers welcome, no pets allowed.

Fun Run
The Fun Run is designed for younger participants and families who want to enjoy a shorter, noncompetitive event. Tshirt purchases are available.

Fun Run distance and start time will be announced soon.

Supporting Farmingdale Elementary

Proceeds from the Turkey Trot benefit the Farmingdale Elementary PTC.

Funds raised through the event help support educational opportunities, school activities, student programs, and other projects that benefit Farmingdale Elementary students and families.

Registration Includes

Entry into the 5K Run/Walk or Fun Run
Professional chip timing for the 5K
Online results
Race shirt
Post race water and bananas available 

Awards

Custom awards for the top finishers in each age bracket which will be announced when finalized.

Packet Pickup

Packet pick-up will be at Farmingdale Elementary School on November 13 from 4 - 6pm and on race morning starting at 9am.

Additional Information

Strollers are allowed but need to be able to roll on the grassy trail.
Dogs are not permitted on school grounds or the Prairie Habitat Preserve. 
Parking: on the school grounds.
Weather: The event will be held rain or shine unless conditions make it unsafe to proceed.
