## Description

Community 5k Open Race for all ages at the new Alpena Cross Country course on the campus of Alpena High School 

Open Community Race held before the 2nd annual AHS Thunder Bay Invite on Saturday August 29th.   

You are invited to stay and cheer on the Alpena Wildcats at their home opener after the open race with boys race at 10 & girls at 11 a.m. 

Awards: Top 10 Female and Top 10 Male finishers receive custom race t-shirts

Registration fees support the Alpena Cross Country course and team

Help us celebrate our new home XC course. This new course on high school grounds includes two, 2.5K loops for the high school 5k race that boasts a mix of traditional cross country trail through a wooded area opening up to the quick grassy course on the outskirts of our ball fields. Start and finish located in same area on this well marked course.
