## Description

Autism Advocacy Education Day: Preparing for the 90th Legislative Session

Join the Autism Society of Texas for a day of learning, advocacy, and education as we prepare for the 90th Texas Legislative Session.

Schedule:

     9:15-9:30 AM: Check in at Capitol Auditorium

     9:30-12:00 PM: Training & Education Session

     12:00-1:00 PM: Break

     1:00-2:30 PM: Legislative Office Visits

This event will help self-advocates, parents, and any individual who is passionate about issues affecting the Autism community, prepare for what to expect on advocacy day. This will include covering upcoming legislation, tips for contacting as well as meeting with legislators and their staff, as well as educating legislators about the needs of Autistic people.
