Get ready to lace up your sneakers and show your support at the South Florida Sports 5K, taking place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at beautiful Vista View Park. This inspiring community event is being hosted in honor of Jordan Becker, a passionate 21-year-old superfan of all South Florida sports teams who has been courageously battling a rare and extremely aggressive osteosarcoma/fibroblastic sarcoma. Despite facing unimaginable challenges—including the amputation of his leg and the cancer spreading extensively to his lungs and other parts of his body—Jordan’s fighting spirit remains bright, even as his family's options begin to dwindle.

​Jordan’s family is tirelessly searching everywhere for answers, exploring clinical trials, researchers, cancer specialists, experimental treatments, and anyone studying this rare disease who might offer a glimmer of hope. However, they need our help to raise critical funds to cover the high costs of clinical trials and allow them to take the necessary time away from work to try and save their son. Every step you take and every dollar raised directly contributes to giving Jordan and his family a fighting chance against this relentless disease.

​As a participant in this meaningful event, you will receive a personalized race bib featuring an RFID timing chip, an official event shirt, and a beautiful finisher medal to commemorate your support. Awards will also be presented to the top three overall finishers and across various age groups.
