Farm City Week (November 9-14, 2026) is the annual celebration of Person County's rich agricultural past, present, and future. Close out the week with a run or walk through autumn woods and pasture trails on a spacious, family-owned 63-acre farm. Two laps will take you through mixed-elevation fields and forest, along the stream, past classic North Carolina Piedmont tobacco barns, around the pond, and across the finish line in front of the goat pen. Bring your cheering section to check out the Person County Farmers Market pop-up and stay for a farm-to-table picnic brunch (additional fee per plate). Guests are invited to walk the trails following the race. 4-H MEMBERS receive free race registration! Please contact Hailee Dickerson at Person County 4-H for your code.   All-ages and experience levels are welcome (Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult) Rain or shine, except for extreme rain or wind (event organizers will notify registrants via email by 5pm November 13) Event photographer on-site Trails will be open to all visitors to explore following the race Pop-up Farmers Market & Farm-to-Table Picnic Brunch available on-site (separate purchase, in addition to registration fee) Community members and spectators are welcome to attend, shop, eat, and enjoy the property SCHEDULE OF EVENTS 8am - 1pm: Farmers Market Open to the Public 8am: Race Registration Opens 9am: Race Starts 10am - 1pm: Farm to Table Picnic Brunch    Support 4-H Youth Programming in Person County! 20% of proceeds will be donated to Person County 4-H, part of the North Carolina Cooperative Extension. 4-H programs in science, healthy living and civic engagement are backed by a network of 100 public universities and a robust community of 4‑H volunteers and professionals. Through hands-on learning, youth build not only confidence, creativity and curiosity, but also life skills such as leadership and resiliency to help them thrive today and tomorrow.   About the Property The Land at Hawkins Loop is located less than 30 minutes from Durham, Hillsborough, and Roxboro in beautiful Person County, North Carolina. Gently sloping pastures are dotted with modernized, century-old farmhouses and salvaged tobacco barns.  The venue's fields and old growth forest are heavily populated by a wide range of birds, wildlife, and plants supported by an on-staff Certified Master Gardener. Trails provide guests easy access for walking, biking, and observation areas with seating. This is the second public race hosted by The Land at Hawkins Loop.
