## Description

Dolores runs 56 miles for her 56th birthday for Champions for the Homeless.

Join the virtual challenge, compete for the Leadership Cup, or sponsor a mile.

On October 25th, once challenged by merely walking, The Leadership Firm's CXO Dolores Grace will run 56 miles in a single day to celebrate her 56th birthday. That's one mile for every year, equalling about 112,000 steps. And every one of them is for our neighbors experiencing homelessness right here in Phoenix.

Sponsor, donate, and join her virtually.

How it works
Sign up for free now. From October 18 to 25, log your own miles anywhere: a neighborhood loop, a treadmill, a stroller walk, a kid's first mile. Walk it, run it, roll it. Snap a photo, log your miles, and help us hit our team goal of 560 miles, ten for every year. Donations are welcome and greatly appreciated -- and never required to play.

Win something
Every finisher is entered in our prize drawing. Beyond that, you earn it: Most Miles, Top Fundraiser, Best Photo, and our Kids' champion.

The Leadership Cup
Leaders go first. Build a team of four or more from your company, log your miles during birthday week, and the team with the most combined miles takes home the Leadership Cup awarded in person by NFL legend, Nick Lowery. It's a real trophy, yours to display for a year and then defend. Ask HR about donation matching while you're at it, because it can double every dollar your team raises.

Sponsor a mile
Every one of her 56 miles is up for grabs, for individuals, families, companies, and organizations. Standard miles are $56, a dollar a year. Milestone miles are $10 a year, because the later ones hurt more: Mile 1, Mile 13, Mile 26, Mile 38 (her worst mile, every single time), Mile 50, and Mile 56 -- the Birthday Mile. Tell us which mile is yours when you donate, and she'll run it with your name on it (pictures too, or it never happened).

We run on Donations. Here's the thing: Running with us is free. No registration fee, no entry cost, no barrier for anyone who wants to lace up and join. That means every meal, every pair of shoes, and every warm shirt this challenge delivers comes from donations. Yours included.

Got shoes? Bring them.
We're also collecting shoes in all sizes and long-sleeve pullover shirts for men, women, and kids. Socks are always welcome too. Drop-off location: TG The Gym -- 3901 E Thunderbird Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85032. Got a lot? Drop off too far? Contact us for a pick up.

Why Champions for the Homeless
Champions for the Homeless, a program of the Nick Lowery Foundation, works with St. Vincent de Paul in Phoenix to serve hot meals, provide clothing, haircuts, and gift cards to those experiencing homelessness, with love, understanding, and respect. Most importantly it does so face to face, as equal neighbors, because the giver and receiver are the same.

Age is just mileage. Sign up. Sponsor. Donate. And Let's GO.
