This 5K is a celebration of her courage, service, and selflessness, while also giving each participant the opportunity to recognize an “Unsung Hero” of their own. Participants are welcome to run, ruck, or walk the 5K at their own pace. During registration, participants may also choose to submit the name and story of an Unsung Hero they would like Rogers ALS to recognize as part of the event. Come run. Walk. Remember. Honor. Registration: $30 per person. Paid registration includes an event T-shirt, commemorative medallion, and running bib. Running Bibs: Participants may pick up their bibs during the week prior to the event to help reduce congestion on event morning. Bibs will include safety pins and course information. Event Day: Check-in will begin at 6:00 AM at Rogers Airman Leadership School (1000 Mercury Drive, San Antonio, TX). The 5K will begin at 7:00 AM. Participants should arrive early enough to complete check-in and be ready before the start time. Base Access: All participants must have authorized access to the installation. The base is currently operating under 100% ID checks. Civilian guests may visit the Visitor Center prior to the event to obtain a temporary visitor pass. Please allow additional time for the access process PARTICIPATION WAIVER & ACKNOWLEDGMENT By registering for and participating in the Unsung Hero 5K Run/Ruck, I acknowledge that this event involves physical activity and may include risks such as falls, collisions, overexertion, weather-related conditions, and other risks associated with running, walking, or rucking. I voluntarily choose to participate and accept responsibility for determining whether I am physically able to safely participate. I agree to follow all event safety instructions, course requirements, and installation rules. To the extent permitted by law, I agree to release and hold harmless the event organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participating organizations from claims arising from my voluntary participation in the event, except where such release is prohibited by law. PHOTO & VIDEO NOTICE Photographs and video may be taken during the Unsung Hero 5K Run/Ruck.
