## Description

This 5k race and fun run benefits the John Wesley Holt Foundation. The foundation's philanthropic mission is to provide scholarships for the University of South Alabama's College of Engineering and St. Luke's Episcopal School. The foundation was started in 2023 following the tragic death of John Wesley Holt. John Wesley was an Eagle scout, graduate of St. Luke's, and USA student. His memory, including his love for sport and recreation, along with his pursuit of education and higher learning is commemorated by this annual race and the distribution of these scholarships.
