"JJ5k" The Community Pentecostal Center would like for you to join them for their 9th annual "JJ5k" Trail Run held at Common Ground in Stanley, NC.  The race supports a $2,000 scholarship in memory of Jerrica Jade Helderman.  The "JJ" stands for Jerrica Jade.  Jerrica passed away from breast cancer in 2016.  This scholarship will go to a senior dance team member at East Gaston High School.  Jerrica graduated from East Gaston in 1998 and was a member of the Dance Team at EG.  Jerrica's friends and teammates have made a 20 year commitment to continue this scholarship to carry on Jerrica's legacy of what true teamwork is .. love, hard work and supporting each other.  This race is the main fundraiser for this scholarship.  Thank you for being a part of it.   Saturday: September 26th 2026 5k walk/run kicks off at 9am Packet Pick Up:  Race day registration and packet pickup from 8:00-8:45am. The race begins promptly at 9:00am.  Run Course: The 5k Run course begins and ends at Common Ground. This is a trail race and most of the run will be on grass/dirt trails. The run is very beginner friendly, great for both adults and children. Timing System: The 5k trail run will be timed using chip timing. The 5k walk and 1 mile Fun Run will not be a timed event. Awards and Age Divisions: There will be an overall male and overall female 1st place winner for the 5K run.  10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39,  40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+ Free t-shirt included with registration for all events.
