Capes encouraged, courage required. We will have several family-friendly games, and please bring your four-legged friends. Please register your kids and indicate if they would like a cape package (absolutely available to our big kids and really fun adults).  SATURDAY, August 29th, 2026, at 8:00 AM at Waterfront Park in Louisville RACE FEATURES: This year's event will feature Chief Mark Furnish, retired Chief of the Monroe Township Volunteer Fire Department, as keynote speaker. Inspired by fellow firefighter Bruce DeArk's commitment to raising awareness about colorectal cancer, Mark underwent his first colonoscopy in 2022 and was diagnosed with colon cancer. After a 44-year career in the fire service, Mark retired in 2025 and is now cancer-free. He uses his story to encourage others to get screened and take action before cancer becomes a crisis.
