## Description

Mark your calendar and begin training for the Family Enrichment Center's 13th Annual MUD HAPPENS, ONE BAD MUD RUN PRESENTED BY HENKEL to be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Funds from this event support child abuse prevention services in South Central Kentucky.

The MUD HAPPENS ONE BAD MUD RUN is a 3-mile run featuring built obstacles and muddy areas where contestants slip, slide, and slosh their way to the finish.  Sign up as an individual or grab a TEAM of 4 or more (and receive a discounted price!).  The course is designed for ages 10 and up; children 10-12 years of age MUST be accompanied by a PAID adult participant.   EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION! -- Register by the 4th of July to receive a discounted price and to be guaranteed a race t-shirt in your size. 

Got Littles?  The KIDS MUD BATH is FREE and consists of small obstacles and activities for children 9 and under only.  Parents should not leave children unattended at the Kids Mud Bath and will need to sign a waiver before children will be permitted to participate.

COMPETITIVE TIMED HEAT:  is at 7:30 a.m. and will be limited to 50 runners (NO TEAMS). THE INFINITY OPTION - Purchase this $25.00 add on to gain access to the continuous multi-lap challenge. 

Participants MUST be registered for the 7:30 a.m. TIMED HEAT to participate. 
Participants will receive an additional wristband for the Infinity Option and will keep their original race bib.
Run the event loop as many times as possible within the event time limits (last heat of the day starts at 10:00 a.m.)  
Finish line volunteers will manually record each of your loops by hand as you pass the checkpoint.  

HEAT TIMES:  

7:30 am (Timed Heat/Individuals ONLY).  
Next race starts at 7:45 am and every 15 minutes thereafter until 10:00 a.m.

ONLINE REGISTRAITION will close on Friday, August 28th at 5:00 PM CST.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION — Registration will begin at 6:30 AM. 

$60 per person (No group discounts offered on race day).
Please bring exact cash or a check for your entry fee. 
Day of registrations are not guaranteed a t-shirt but will receive a $10 discount.

Monday, August 24th - Thursday, August 27th 8:30 AM-4:30 PM
Friday, August 28th 8:30 AM- 3:00 PM
