Community Guidelines

The short version

Run This is a community of runners, race directors, clubs, and fans. Posts, comments, messages, photos, profiles, clubs, communities, and teams are created by users like you. To keep it welcoming, we have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive behavior. By using Run This and posting content, you agree to these Community Guidelines and to our Terms and Privacy Policy.

What’s not allowed

Don’t post, send, or share content that is:

• Harassing, bullying, or hateful — including slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age. • Violent or threatening — threats, incitement, or glorification of violence against any person or group. • Sexually explicit — nudity, pornography, or sexual content. • Endangering children — any sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers children. We report this to the authorities. • Promoting self-harm — content that encourages suicide, self-harm, or eating disorders. • Illegal — content that facilitates illegal activity, including the sale of illegal goods. • Spam or scams — deceptive, fraudulent, or repetitive unsolicited content. • Impersonation or deception — pretending to be someone else, or misrepresenting your identity or affiliation. • Privacy-violating — sharing someone else’s private or personal information without consent.

Be a good sport

Beyond the rules above: keep it civil. Disagree without personal attacks, don’t pile on, and respect race directors, volunteers, and fellow athletes. Run This is about the joy of the run — bring that energy.

The tools you have

Report — every post, comment, message, and profile can be reported. Reports are confidential and go straight to the Run This team.

Block — blocking someone hides each of you from the other across Run This and stops them from interacting with you.

If you ever feel unsafe or see something urgent, contact us directly in addition to reporting.

How we enforce

We filter clearly objectionable content at the point of posting, and we review reports — typically within 24 hours. When content or behavior breaks these Guidelines we may remove or hide the content, limit features, and suspend or permanently terminate accounts. Serious violations (especially anything involving child safety or credible threats) can result in an immediate ban and a report to law enforcement.

We keep records of removed content and moderation actions so we can review decisions and address repeat behavior.
