This fall, Nashville gets something rare: two true cross country races that aren’t just for schools. Both are open to the entire community, giving every runner the chance to test themselves on grass, dirt, and hills - the way cross country was meant to be.
Powered by The Exchange Running Collective
Behind both events is The Exchange Running Collective, a group dedicated to pushing the sport forward and building community through racing. Their vision: to bring the excitement of cross country out of the high school season and into the wider running world of Nashville.
Harrier Classic 2025
First up is the Harrier Classic, a Nashville staple that sets the tone for the season. This isn’t just another race - it’s a course built for grit, competition, and camaraderie. Year after year, the Harrier brings runners together for one of the most authentic cross country experiences in the city.
Fall Metro Classic x The Exchange
Next comes the Fall Metro Classic x The Exchange. This year, the event expands into a full day of racing at Cornelia Airpark in Shelby Bottoms Park, featuring divisions for kids, high school, and open athletes. With a fresh new course and a wide-open community vibe, it’s an event designed for every runner in Nashville.
Two Races. One City. One Collective.
Opportunities like this don’t come often. Nashville gets not one, but two true cross country events in 2025 - both open to all, both built for the community.
Registration is open now. Don’t miss it.
