The South Foster Volunteer Fire Company Presents: 14th Annual Fall Foliage 5K & 10K Run/Walk Saturday, October 17th, 2026 (rain or shine event)
Enjoy a crisp fall morning run/walk through the beautiful northwestern Rhode Island countryside at the height of the foliage season. Beginning and ending in historic Foster Center, our challenging course will take you down quiet country roads, passing historic sites and homes, pastoral meadows, and picturesque farmland.
Pre-Registration is $30; Day-Of Registration price increases to $35
Back by popular demand! 12 and Under 5K Registration is $15; Day-Of Registration price increases to $20
➡ Register by October 1st to be guaranteed a race shirt! ➡ For anyone who registers after October 1st (including the day of the event), race shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Event details and schedule ➡ 7 AM: Check-In & Day-Of Registration Opens
➡ 9 AM: Runners to Start Line; race begins at 9:00 AM sharp! (No bibs will be issued after the race has begun)
All races start and end in the town center

All participants will be entered to win a $100 Gift Certificate in our Door Prize Raffle $50 cash prize & maple syrup to overall male and female winners from Foster in each race (10K & 5K)
Awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female in each age group for 5K: 12 and Under,13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Awards to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female in each age group for 10K: Under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
All proceeds support the South Foster Volunteer Fire Company, which has been proudly serving the town of Foster and surrounding communities since 1928
