    About This Event

Join us for our fifth attempt at a truly unique 5k event along the shore in Stratford.

WE SOLD OUT THE LAST TWO YEARS-

we keep this small and fun, usually around 100 people.

We go SHINE OR RAIN FOLKS. We can’t postpone, we have one day permits and

I ALREADY BOUGHT 200 BOTTLES OF VINO!

    LAST YEAR WE SOLD OUT!

THIS IS STRICTLY LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED PEOPLE!

All abilities are welcome to run, walk, or stroll. Four legged mammals on leash

are permitted but you must bring your own poop bags.

    Shirt size guaranteed till 10/18.

We are again Hosted by the Little Pub beautifully located

in the Lordship section of Stratford

This late afternoon run/walk will feature terrific swag

for the 21 & over participants.

(Under 21 can register and enjoy the event but will only receive a non-alcohol beverage.)

Our Course- 3.11 miles of scenic wonder! 80% direct water views, start/finish

and post run fun overlooking Point no Point opposite the seawall                      https://www.plotaroute.com/route/2606888

This idea all started when we saw an advert for the "Trunk or Treat" hosted by the Little Pub

for the little tykes in our neighborhood. Then we figured “Why not the big tykes?”

After we did some research it didn't take long to realize we could team up and create an

    opportunity for some casual fun.

So here is what we came up with:

The first 100 people will receive-

'A Wine of a Kind' shirt - might be short sleeve, might be LS, you never know & neither do we.

We often use various shirts we have in stock. And they might not all be the exact same color of fabric.

(size guarantee by midnight 10/18, after that- whatever we have)

TWO- half-bottles of wine* (one white, one red)

ONE post run glass of a Little Pub beer*

Brunch hour-appropriate snacks like pretzel bites, granola bars, bananas…

and the Little Pub will welcome you for more great stuff when you are finished!

    Reg Fee- $35 for 21 & over, just $25 for 20 & under!

NOTE- Reg fee increase on 10/19 to $40 and $30 for 20 & under

SHIRTS- Might be a long sleeve, might be a short sleeve. Cotton or polytech, color not determined yet.

It's all about the tariffs and the escalating costs of imported shirts. These things aren't made in the USA anymore!

And the windmills... ya gotta be careful, right?

SWAG- Besides the wine, we never know what we are going to find on Temu...

    THE SUNDAY 11/1 SCHEDULE

The Little Pub will be open with food/drinks and non alcoholic beverages. Come on down early.

Hang out, watch a game or relax on the seawall/beach area.

8:30 am Bib/shirt/swag pickup starts- NO SOONER! We won't be there, honest.

9:45 am Free Kids Dash- just 150 yards or so, costumes encouraged, ages 9 & under please.

Directed by Donna Cramond, the Queen of Kids, and semi-professional cat herder!

10:00 am  HalloWine 5K run, walk, saunter- START

10:20 am  Tentative post run/walk stuff:  snacks, fluids, fun

AT LEAST ONE FREE BEER FOR EVERYONE 21 & over

This is still a work in progress and we are adding more by the day!

RESULTS- As of now this is a 'timed' event and we will post results online.

BUT Jim Gerweck our #1 timer of all things Lordship is working @ the NYC Marathon

so we might be doing things a bit differently...

AWARDS- With all that swag we may not have overall or age group awards-

but you never know what we might come up with at the last minute!

TEMU is our GoTo crazy award venue!

A HUGE shout out and thanks to the Little Pub Restaurant in Lordship!

They have been truly supportive of every running event in the neighborhood

so please thank them, stick around- have a bite to eat and have some fun.

Bring the family and tell your friends.

REMEMBER THIS IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED HUMANS

(Cute, well-behaved alternative mammals on leash are OK)

Event Director- Marty Schaivone, owner of MS Running Productions is a Lordship resident.

MSRP directs over 30 running events each year in Fairfield County. Many of them with crazy themes,

especially the seven that Little Pub hosts.

Thanks to Doug Grabe & Jillian and Little Pub they have teamed up to host a variety of

boutique running events the last three years. Watch for more including the

    Holiday Run on December 13th

Thanks to our amazing volunteer crew usually containing Donna Cramond,

Andrea Williamson, Chris Ogren, Ronnie Behringer, Sherry Duff and Joe Puopolo.

Without them none of this happens.

Running events need volunteers! Give up one day a year and help someone!

Parking in the LP lot, along the sea wall, & on side streets. Please don't block driveways.

We want to keep our neighbors happy.
