The Big Run 5K – A Global Running Day Celebration! Saturday, June 5, 2027 | Bell Tower Shops Fleet Feet's The Big Run 5K, presented by Worthington Realty and sponsored by Brooks Running, is back for another year of running, walking, and celebrating our Southwest Florida community!
We're bringing back everything you love about The Big Run, along with a few new surprises for 2027! Whether you're an experienced runner chasing a personal record, a casual walker, or a family looking for a fun morning together, The Big Run has something for everyone.
Race Date: Saturday, June 5, 2027 Start Time: 8:00 AM Location: Fleet Feet Fort Myers, Bell Tower Shops Distance: 5K (3.1 Miles)
This chip-timed event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Every registered 5K participant will receive an awesome finisher medal and event shirt! Register early, as late registrations are not guaranteed a shirt or medal.
The Rum Runner Mile (Ages 21+) Looking for a little tropical fun after your 5K? The Rum Runner Mile returns with its island-inspired twist on the traditional beer mile!
Participants complete four ¼-mile loops, enjoying a 4 oz Rum Runner cocktail before each lap. That's four laps, four small cocktails, and one unforgettable mile!
Break out your Hawaiian shirts, tropical costumes, and island spirit! Whether you're participating or cheering from the sidelines, the Rum Runner Mile brings plenty of entertainment and laughs to Bell Tower.
Rum Runner Mile Details:
Distance: 1 Mile (4 × ¼-mile loops) Drinks: Four 4 oz Rum Runner cocktails Age Requirement: Must be 21 or older Format: One cocktail before each lap Come for the 5K, stay for the tropical fun!

We encourage participants to pick up their race packets Friday evening to avoid the race-day rush.

5K Awards Overall Awards Top 3 Male and Female Finishers
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place – Based on Gun Time
Age Group Awards Age group awards recognize the top three male and female finishers in each division, based on Chip Time.
For races with fewer than 400 participants:
0–9 | 10–19 | 20–29 | 30–39 | 40–49 | 50–59 | 60–69 | 70+
For races with 400 or more participants:
0–9 | 10–14 | 15–19 | 20–24 | 25–29 | 30–34 | 35–39 | 40–44 | 45–49 | 50–54 | 55–59 | 60–64 | 65–69 | 70–74 | 75+
Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
