Practice –
Goal is to have kids come to 2 of the 3 practices below, whatever best fits their schedule.
Practice time is 6:15-7:30 Wednesdays, Silver Springs Park 5238 Young Rd, Stow, OH 44224 (Can also be accessed from Stow Road and head to the back parking lot)
Thursdays, Goodyear Heights Metro Park 2077 Newton St, Akron, Oh 44305
Fridays, Virginia Kendall Ledges 405 Truxell Rd, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Peninsula, OH 44264-9734
Meets are Sunday at various locations, first race at 2 p.m.
All-Star Division for individuals with special needs and their siblings. Practice on Thursdays at the Chapel in Green at 6:30-7:30 pm. Practice will start on Aug. 20th and run thru Oct 1st. For more info: contact Jarrod McCleary @ jarrod.mccleary@gmail.com
Races: Sunday afternoons in Akron, Tallmadge, Green, Jackson, Saturday Sept 12th at Walsh Jesuit High School
Distances: 400 meters(fun run 5-6 year olds) 1 mile (8 years old and under),
1.5 mile (lower division - 9-10 Years old) 1.5 mile (upper division - 11 and up)
Why: A fun introduction to the sport of running. For all abilities.

TIME SCHEDULE for Sunday Events 1:30 pm: Division – ALL STAR 2:00 pm: Division I COED 2:05 pm: Division V COED
2:10 pm: Division IV - COED
2:25 pm: Division III – Female
2:35 pm: Division III – Male
2:55 pm: Division II - Female 3:10 pm: Division II – Male
Age Divisions Odds & Ends (ages as of September 9/1/2024) 1. Team scoring for Division II and III Division I – 13/14: Run 2 miles 2. Gender specific team and individual Division II – 11/12: Run 1.5 miles awards (only exception is Division V) Division III – 9/10: Run 1.5 miles 3. A runner can run up a division Division IV – 8 an under 1 mile 4. Individual awards for top 20 each race Division V – 6 and under (or 400 meters) Division – ALL STAR: Run 1 mile
