As VAIL's largest annual fundraiser, the Arctic Dip turns a few chilly moments into meaningful support for programs and services that help people with disabilities live independently, make their own choices, and be active in community life.
More Than a Cold-Water Challenge
Sure, running into cold water isn't how most people choose to spend their day. But that's part of what makes the Arctic Dip so memorable.
Dippers step outside their comfort zones, rally their friends and families, and make a splash for something bigger than themselves. Some have been taking the plunge for years. Others will be standing at the water's edge for the very first time. Either way, everyone has the same goal: supporting independence and opportunity for people with disabilities.
Funds raised through the Arctic Dip help VAIL provide services such as independent living skills training, advocacy, service coordination, home modifications, and other supports that help individuals pursue greater independence in their everyday lives.
Every dipper who raises funds, every donor who gives, every team that joins, and every supporter who cheers from the sidelines becomes part of that effort.
You don't have to be a cold-water enthusiast. You just have to be willing to make a splash for a great cause.
