RACE UPDATE - SEPT 15TH:
We're pleased to share that the Brightstar Downtown 5K has been rescheduled to Sunday, September 27th. The kids races will remain at 9am and the 5K run/walk will begin at 10am.
If you already picked up your race packet, you will use that same bib number for the new race date. If you did not already pick up your race number, we will open packet pickup on race day at 8am at Marathon Sports PVD in Providence Place.
Alternatively, you can run the Brightstar Downtown 5K virtually instead. Email us at help@runrhody.com to switch to this option. We will mail t-shirts to virtual participants who did not already pick up their bib numbers. Virtual participants will have until October 1st to complete their virtual race and submit results. To submit virtual results, head to Run Rhody.com > Results > 2026 > Downtown 5K and click "Submit Virtual Results" at the top of the page.
RACE INFORMATION
NEW RACE DATE: Sunday, September 27, 2026. Downtown 5K start time: 10:00 a.m. Youth races start time: 9:00 a.m.
There will be two youth races for boys and two races for girls for ages 1 to 5 (100 yards) and ages 6 to 10 (1/4 mile). Start location: Memorial Blvd,, Providence, Rhode Island.
Chip timing. T-shirts for all entrants.
For safety reasons, please follow these safety rules. No pets allowed. Baby strollers are allowed for walkers only. Walkers will line up at the back for the start of the 5k. Thank you.

Youth races. Presented by Providence Country Day School.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
We encourage everyone who is able to pick up their race number before race day to make for a stress-free race morning!
