MOVE YOUR FEET BEFORE THE FEAST!
Join us for the 13th Annual Turkey Trot presented by the Coronado Unit of the Rady Children’s Hospital Auxiliary on Thanksgiving, November 26, 2026, at Tidelands Park. This family-friendly 5K welcomes runners and walkers of all ages. Enjoy a beautiful course along the San Diego Bay and celebrate the holiday with a fun, festive atmosphere! For our 15 and under runners, your age-based pricing discount is already built in as soon as you enter your birth date.
All net proceeds benefit the Division of Endocrinology/Diabetes at Rady Children’s Hospital in support of children and families affected by Type 1 Diabetes. Register early as this event sells out every year!
We offer three ways to participate in the Coronado Turkey Trot, ensuring everyone—from seasoned runners to our tiniest trotters—can join the Thanksgiving fun:
5K Run/Walk: Our signature race welcomes runners and walkers of all ages. The 5K follows a scenic out-and-back route along the San Diego Bay and includes full race amenities, including an event shirt and finisher medal for paid 5K participants. Kids 15 and under automatically receive built-in age-based pricing at checkout.
Tiny Trotters Fun Run (Ages 5 & Under): A special option for our littlest runners! Tiny Trotters (ages 5 & under) run alongside the 5K with their families. It’s a simple, no-cost way to let young children be part of the excitement. Registration is free (no shirt or commemorative medal included).
Virtual 5K: Not in Coronado on race day? You can still be part of the tradition from wherever you are! Virtual participants complete their 5K on their own time and course, and we’ll mail your race items directly to the address provided at registration. A great option for out-of-towners or anyone who prefers a flexible race experience.

Notes for Packet Pick-Up
Walk-up Registration is available at Packet Pick-Up if the event is not sold out. Photo IDs are required. You may pick up for a friend if you have a copy of their photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS! Photos of ID shown on cell phones are accepted. Please plan on attending one of the pre-race packet pick-ups; out-of-towners may pick up on race morning beginning at 6:30am, but it is discouraged.
