Join Us for the Wheeling Turkey Trot: 5K Run/Walk & 1K Children's Fun Run!
Get ready to kick off your Thanksgiving celebrations with a spirited community event that supports the Wheeling Parks and Recreation mission: "to build healthy communities through people, parks, and programs.”

Date: Thursday, November 27th Location: Alma Grace McDonough Center, Wheeling University Campus
Schedule:
7:00 AM: Packet pickup and registration open at the McDonough Center 8:30 AM: 1K Children’s Fun Run 8:30 AM: Packet pickup and registration close 8:45 AM: Begin to line up at the start 9:00 AM: 5K Run and Walk
Exciting Extras:
Participants in the 5K will have a chance to win fantastic prizes in a random drawing.
Virtual Participation: Can’t join us in person? No problem! Sign up as a "Pardoned Turkey" to participate virtually and secure a stylish event T-shirt. Your T-shirt will be available for pickup at packet pick-up, on race day at the McDonough Center, or at the Parks and Recreation office starting December 2nd.
Award Ceremony: Celebrate your achievements at our awards ceremony, held immediately after the race inside the McDonough Center.
Packet Pick-Up Information:
Early Packet Pick-Up (Recommended): Pick up your race packet at the Parks and Recreation Office located at 10 Hunter Avenue, Wheeling, WV 26003 on the following dates:
Tuesday, November 25th 12 PM – 7 PM Wednesday, November 26th 9 AM – 1 PM
Day of Race Registration: Registration and packet pick-up will also be available at the McDonough Center from 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM on race day.
