KAR is please to hold the third edition of it Running Mechanics Workshop this coming January and February. In an effort to improve the Workshop, this year it will be held at Western Michigan University's Reed Field House so that on track form drills can be added to put into practice the skill being taught during the first half of each class session. The Workshop program will begin with an assessment of each participant's current running mechanics by Dr. Jon Deming to identify problematic movement and produce an individualized plan to address those problem areas. Then, at following Workshop sessions, we will cover corrective strength and mobility exercises during the first half or so of a session before moving to the indoor track to practice good running mechanic drills. The drills will include important, fundamental drills repeated each week to build a strong foundation of movement and then some drills particular to the topic of the day. Below is a detailed schedule of the Workshop.
