    About This Event

The Good Medicine 5K & Fun Walk is more than a race, it’s a celebration of what happens when a community shows up for one another.

In its first year, nearly 250 participants came together to raise $20,000 in support of patients at the Free Clinic of Powhatan. Because of that support, our neighbors have greater access to healthcare, nutritious food, and essential services that help them live healthier, more stable lives.

Now, we’re building on that momentum.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner chasing a PR or looking for a meaningful way to spend a Saturday morning with family and friends, the Good Medicine 5K & Fun Walk offers something for everyone. Choose the timed 5K or enjoy a relaxed one-mile walk. Every step makes a difference.

This year’s event will once again feature our Fresh Start Fair, bringing together local vendors, community resources, and fun extras (with even more to explore in 2026, including expanded vendor offerings and crowd favorites like acai trucks!).

When you register, you’re doing more than signing up for a race, you’re helping ensure that individuals in our community don’t have to go without the care and support they need.

Join us. Bring a friend. Be part of something bigger.
