    About This Event

Come and participate in the 15th annual Friends of the Poor Walk, a heartfelt community event dedicated to aiding those facing economic struggles. Walk alongside us as we raise awareness and funds to support individuals and families in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference through solidarity and compassion. 100% of the donations will be used for local families needing help with rent, utilities or other emergency assistance.  Last year we raised over $52,000.  Your generous contributions have made a real difference in your community.

Walkers are encouraged to make a personal donation and to collect pledges from supporters. All pledges go directly to the SVdP District Council of Attleboro, serving our neighbors in the towns of Attleboro, North Attleboro, Seekonk, Rehoboth, Norton, and Mansfield. All fundraising walkers will receive a free event t-shirt.  Registration forms will also be available at our Walk location. Asking for pledges is a great way to spread awareness of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul’s mission and values!     Join us the day of the walk and purchase tickets to win one of our many generously donated raffle baskets. Every step counts in our mission to alleviate poverty and provide essential resources to those who need it most. Join hands with fellow participants and be a part of the positive change in our society. Together, we can create a brighter, more inclusive future for all.
