Join us for the 2nd Jack’s Team 5K Walk and Run on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Southern Lehigh High School. This 5K is in memory of Jack Hankee, former Southern Lehigh middle school assistant principal who lost his fight with cancer last year. In November of 2023, Jack was diagnosed with angiosarcoma, which is an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer. Thanks to the compassionate care and innovative treatment he received at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Jack was able to spend invaluable time with his loved ones—time that made a lasting impact on all who knew him. Now, we walk and run not only to remember Jack, but to help others facing similar battles. All net proceeds from this event will go directly to support cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering, helping to improve treatment options and give more families precious time with the people they love.

Participants can choose to walk, jog, or run. Every registration supports cancer research through the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. By participating, you not only honor the memory of Jack Hankee but also contribute to a meaningful cause that helps others benefit from cancer research. Please join us in this fun walk/run program and enjoy a morning remembering Jack and his impact he left on everyone. Every step taken honors Jack’s memory and brings us one step closer to a cure.
