    About This Event

Join us October 3rd for the Saint Michael Conference of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul’s Friends of the Poor Walk.  The walk along town sidewalks is a 5K, (3.1 mile) distance.  Everyone is welcome to walk all or part of the designated distance.

This is a heartfelt community event dedicated to aiding those in North Andover facing economic struggles.  We aim to raise awareness and funds to support individuals and families in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference through solidarity and compassion.

Walkers are encouraged to make a personal donation and collect pledges from supporters: family, friends, and neighbors.  You may pledge online, pick up a form at the church receptionist desk, or register the day of the walk.  The walk begins at 10:30 AM from the Merrimack Street site behind the church.  Check in begins at 9:45 AM.  Complementary hot dogs, soda, and water will be available at the same site at the end of the walk.

We wish to thank our parishioners whose support in 2025 allowed our conference to provide clothing, bedding, 960 Market Basket food vouchers, 1,700 bags/boxes of food, and help with payment toward a wide array of bills. We also delivered in excess of 1,300 Christmas gifts.  A total of 136 families or individuals were assisted. The overwhelming majority of our service is provided via home visits, resulting in a personal relationship with our neighbors in need.

Please join us and be a part of a positive change in our community.  Together, with God and your support, we can create a brighter future for all. Thank you in advance for your support.
