The Called to Care Games Are Back — and This Time It's Winter Wonderland Shenanigans!
Medved Running & Walking and Called to Care Canandaigua are teaming up again for round two of family-friendly fun — and yes, there will be shenanigans.
Join us on Sunday, December 6th as we jump headfirst into Canandaigua's Holiday festivities! We're setting up shop at Peacemaker Brewing once again, right in the middle of all the Hallmark Holiday Open House magic. Think Santa, hot cocoa, Frosty, and your chance to run around downtown on a choose-your-own-adventure scavenger hunt. What could be more fun?
More Than a Game — It's a Give-Back
This isn't just a scavenger hunt — it's a fundraiser with heart. Your participation supports Called to Care, an incredible all-volunteer organization that helps refugees and displaced families build new lives here in America. Since December 2022, they've welcomed families from Ukraine, Haiti, Venezuela, and Guatemala — providing housing, food, school enrollment, medical care, and a warm welcome. Every step you take and every dollar you raise fuels that mission.

All donations go directly to Called to Care. The more your team collects, the more you help — and the more bonus points you earn. The top-donating team snags a massive extra bonus point haul. Ready to trot, hunt, and make a real difference this holiday season?
Grab Your Crew or Fly Solo
Each team holds 5–10 players. Pick your team name when you register! Rolling solo? No problem — just join the Free Agent team and we'll pair you up. The Called to Care Games are a great way to make new friends before the holidays hit.
Game Day Details
Peacemaker Brewing, Canandaigua Sunday, December 6th Check-in at 12:30 PM — Games start promptly at 1:00 PM Don't forget: each team needs a cell phone and access to the Medved Running & Walking Outfitters Facebook Group to claim points.
The Rules (They're Simple!)
You'll receive your scavenger hunt list and map at check-in. Visit locations, complete challenges, snap a team photo at each stop, and post it to the Medved Facebook Group to claim points. Posts only count during game hours, so stay on mission! All participants must follow traffic and pedestrian rules — safety first, shenanigans second. Bonus Points for Extra Holiday Spirit 🌟
Donate directly to Called to Care for a bonus point boost. Dress the part! Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanzaa, Grinch vibes — if it's festive, we want to see it.
