Partnership for Purpose was created in honor and memory of Marquavies “Qua” Broughton and the countless lives impacted by substance use, counterfeit pills, fentanyl, nitazenes, and other emerging drug threats.
Together, The Marquavies Bernard Broughton Foundation, Inc. and the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office are bringing families, survivors, people in recovery, advocates, first responders, law enforcement, community leaders, businesses, car enthusiasts, and supporters together for a day rooted in prevention, remembrance, education, and action.

Through education, prevention, awareness, advocacy, naloxone access, and connection to resources, Partnership for Purpose demonstrates what can happen when community and public safety come together with a shared commitment to saving lives.

🍑 PEACHTREE ROAD RACE QUALIFYING EVENT The Partnership for Purpose 5K Walk/Run is a qualifying event for the Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race.
Eligible participants may use their official finish time when registering for the 2027 Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race, subject to Atlanta Track Club qualifying requirements.

The 2nd Annual Partnership for Purpose is getting even bigger with the introduction of the DA QUA WAY Car Show.
Following the 5K, the automotive community will come together at Alexander Park for an experience that combines car culture with community awareness and a lifesaving mission.
From custom builds and classics to muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, exotics, and everyday rides with a story, we're inviting the community to:

The car show creates another way to reach families and young people with important conversations surrounding counterfeit pills, fentanyl, nitazenes, overdose prevention, naloxone, recovery, and making informed decisions.

🌍 VIRTUAL 5K — TAKE THE PURPOSE WITH YOU Can't join us in person? You can still be part of Partnership for Purpose from anywhere.
Complete your 3.1 miles during race week in your neighborhood, at a park, on a trail, or on a treadmill.
Walk it. Run it. Jog it.
Do it DA QUA WAY — with purpose. The Virtual 5K is open to all ages and abilities and allows supporters outside of Gwinnett County and Georgia to stand with families and help spread awareness.
💜 HONOR & REMEMBER A LOVED ONE ALONG THE RACE ROUTE Every life has a story, and every name deserves to be remembered.
For a $65 contribution, families and supporters can purchase a personalized 2 ft. x 2 ft. Honor & Remember Yard Sign that will be displayed along the official 5K route.
Signs may honor:
• A loved one whose life was lost • Someone impacted by substance poisoning • A person in recovery • A survivor • An advocate • Someone whose story deserves to be seen
You do not have to participate in the 5K to purchase a sign.
As participants travel along the course, these tributes remind us why we walk, why we run, and why this work must continue.
