Get hyped Gainesville! It's time for the most refreshingly ridiculous fitness and community fundraising event of the winter: the 2nd Annual Beer Mile at Cypress & Grove Brewing Company!
Celebrate the LAST WEEKEND of Dry January by ending the month with a Beer Mile for a great cause! And of course, non-alcoholic beer is an option for anyone.

WHAT'S GOING DOWN? Ever wished running and craft beer had an adorable, chaotic baby? This is it. Lace up your sneakers and warm up your liver because it's time for the Beer Mile: every lap starts with a beer and ends with you questioning your life choices (just kidding, it’s not that bad).
How it works: Run 1 mile (4 laps). Drink a beer or non-alcoholic beer before each lap. Run, cheer, and help support youth athletes!
THE DEETS 4 beers plus 4 laps equals 1 mile of glorious chaos. Drink it, run it, repeat it. Best pace? We don't care. Most laughs? Guaranteed. Support local youth sports and a nonprofit? Definitely.
All skill levels welcome. Walkers with beer (or NA beer) are highly encouraged!
All Proceeds go to Gainesville Area Rowing Club
Why We're Doing This: Boats aren't cheap. Oars don't buy themselves. Rowers need your help (and you need a beer or 4).
This event directly supports local youth athletes who are grinding on the lake every day. The Gainesville Area Rowing Club (GAR) provides incredible opportunities for young rowers to develop discipline, teamwork, and athletic skills, but the sport requires significant equipment and resources. Your participation helps make rowing accessible to more young people in our community. Not only that, but our local rowing club is highly competitive at a state and national level…one of our boats took silver at nationals!
FUN RULES (aka guidelines) Must be 21+ with ID required. For this event, beer beats water. Spectators should cheer wildly and take video for "remember when?" stories.
Come out, have a blast, and help us support an amazing cause. Whether you're running or cheering from the sidelines, you'll be making a real difference for local youth rowing while having one of the most memorable Saturday afternoons of the year.
