5 Alarm 5K - A Fun Community Run Supporting the Hillsboro Firefighters Association
This is a relaxed, family friendly event designed to bring the community together while supporting the firefighters who work hard to keep Hillsboro safe.
Supporting Our Hillsboro Firefighters Funds raised through the 5 Alarm 5K help support the Hillsboro Firefighters Association and the Hillsboro Fire Department. Proceeds are used to provide scholarships, firefighter relief assistance, and additional equipment and resources for the fire department that are not covered by the annual town budget. Your participation and donations directly support the people who serve our community.
About the Hillsboro Fire Department The Hillsboro Fire Department proudly serves the Town of Hillsboro, New Hampshire, providing fire protection and emergency medical services to a close knit community of approximately 6,000 residents across 42 square miles.
The department responds to more than 1,000 calls each year, providing critical assistance to residents and visitors when they need it most. Their work extends beyond emergency response. The department is also committed to prevention and education through fire safety inspections for homes and businesses, site plan reviews, and ongoing fire and environmental safety education.
About the Course The 5 Alarm 5K takes participants off road and into the woods along the river, offering a fun and adventurous experience that is a little different from your typical road race. The course includes natural terrain and tree roots, so please come prepared for an authentic trail style experience. Strollers are not recommended due to the wooded terrain and uneven surface.
Whether you choose to run or walk, come enjoy a beautiful community course and support a great local cause!
What to Expect This is a simple, community focused event. Participants can expect:
• A fun 5K off road course • A relaxed and welcoming atmosphere • Water and granola bars at the finish • An opportunity to support the Hillsboro Firefighters Association • Recognition of the top three participants in each age category
T-Shirts Early registrants will receive a 5 Alarm 5K T-shirt. T-shirts are limited, so register early if you would like to receive one!
Come Run. Come Walk. Come Support Hillsboro. You don't have to be a serious racer to participate. Whether you're looking to challenge yourself, enjoy a run through the woods, walk with friends, or simply support your local firefighters, we'd love to have you join us. Bring your family.
