PURPOSE & IMPACT STATEMENT
The Don’t Engage N Road Rage 5K Walk/Run is more than a race—it is a community movement with a clear mission, message, and passion: helping people make safer choices behind the wheel and ultimately saving lives. Our mission is centered on E.A.R.S.—Education, Awareness, Resources & Safety, bringing people together to raise awareness about aggressive driving, distracted driving, and road rage while promoting self-control, defensive driving, emotional awareness, and non-engagement. Every step taken during this 5K represents our commitment to safer drivers, safer roads, and safer communities..
EVENT TIME & SCHEDULE
9:00 AM–9:45 AM: Meet & Greet with Detroit Lions Legend Herman Moore 9:45 AM–10:30 AM: Packet Pickup 10:45 AM: 5K Start
OFFICIAL ROUTE:
Route starts and finishes at The Mint At Michigan First Conference Center, 27000 Evergreen Road in Lathrup Village. (Michigan First)
ROUTE START at The Mint at Michigan First Conference Center, near Evergreen Road and the I-696/West 11 Mile Road area. From The Mint, proceed west through/along the south side of the property toward Evergreen Road.
Turn RIGHT (north) onto Evergreen Road. Continue north on Evergreen Road for approximately one mile toward 12 Mile Road. At 12 Mile Road, turn RIGHT (east). Continue east on 12 Mile Road, passing the area of University High School Academy, toward the Santa Barbara Drive area.
Turn RIGHT (south) onto Santa Barbara Drive. Continue south on Santa Barbara Drive, passing the following cross streets shown along the route:
Lacrosse Avenue Wiltshire Boulevard Dolores Avenue Glenwood Boulevard Saratoga Boulevard San Jose Boulevard San Quentin Drive San Diego Boulevard Bungalow Drive Continue south on Santa Barbara Drive to Sunnybrook Avenue.
Turn RIGHT (west) onto Sunnybrook Avenue. Continue west on Sunnybrook Avenue toward the Michigan First Credit Union/The Mint property. Follow the marked route back into The Mint at Michigan First Conference Center.
FINISH
FINISH at The Mint at Michigan First Conference Center, completing the loop.
ROUTE FLOW: The Mint → Evergreen Road → 12 Mile Road → Santa Barbara Drive → Sunnybrook Avenue → The Mint
General Direction: Participants travel north on Evergreen, east on 12 Mile, south on Santa Barbara, and west on Sunnybrook, returning to the starting point at The Mint.

DON’T ENGAGE 5K T-SHIRT NOTIFICATION Participants who register after August 19, 2026 may or may not receive their official Don’t Engage 5K T-Shirt on the day of the event due to ordering and production deadlines.
DON’T WORRY — YOU WILL STILL RECEIVE YOUR T-SHIRT! If your T-shirt is not available on race day, your official Don’t Engage 5K T-Shirt will be mailed directly to you after the event.
