In 1994, a group of friends with a love for running, founded El Grito 5k to celebrate heritage, recognizing Mexican Independence Day, and with a desire to support students in track & field. The run/walk has become an annual tradition for our community to come together, sharing joy, solidarity, and good health.

Kids Fun Run (10 and under): free but no t-shirt 14 & under: free but no t-shirt Regular race registration: $30... must be registered by September 4, 2026 (includes signature Tarahumara/Raramuri-inspired t-shirt & race bib, burrito, beer/hydration beverage) Students: $20 (receive same as regular) If you have a discount code, enter it during checkout and the final price will update.
