International Overdose Awareness Day - Run, Walk, & Remember

Join the Robeson RCORP Consortium, in partnership with the Robeson Road Runners, as we come together to recognize International Overdose Awareness Day with a morning of remembrance, hope, education, and community support.

    📅 Date: Saturday, August 29, 2026

    📍 Location: Lumberton Downtown Plaza

    🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

💜 Wear Purple to show your support for overdose awareness, remember those we have lost, and stand in solidarity with individuals, families, and communities impacted by substance use.

This FREE community event will include:

5K Run & 1-Mile Walk – Honor the lives lost to overdose, support those in recovery, and help raise awareness about overdose prevention and the importance of reducing stigma.

Memorial Ceremony – A meaningful time to remember, honor, and celebrate the lives of loved ones who have been impacted by overdose.

Community Resource & Vendor Fair – Connect with local organizations offering prevention, treatment, recovery, mental health, and family support resources.

Free Giveaways – While supplies last.

Together, we can remember without stigma, support recovery, educate our community, and inspire hope. Whether you choose to run, walk, volunteer, or simply attend, your presence helps make a difference.

Everyone is welcome. Together, we remember. Together, we support. Together, we save lives.”
