The inaugural "Run the Field: Land That I Love 5K & Fun Run" takes place on Sunday, September 20th, 2026, at Brookfield Local Schools.
The address for the school is: 614 Beford Road, Brookfield, Ohio 44403.
The Fun Run will be one lap around the track. Fun Run medal for all participants.
The 5K is chip-timed by GCXC Racing - Youngstown. Commemorative finisher medals for 5K participants 5K awards to the top three overall men and women as well as top three males and females in age groups: 10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Up.
One section of our 5K course will be dedicated to our Friends, Family, and Community who are soldiers (both past and present) of our Armed Forces. If you would like to have your loved one honored, complete the registration form. A $10 donation will enable you to keep the poster insert* and you will receive a certificate of thanks. A small version of the poster will be added to our Military Honor Book that is viewable at the registration/information table (poster inserts may be subjected to the weather). If a poster is damaged by the weather or other race conditions, it may not be available to keep.
A "Warrior Games" competition will take place after the race - all ages are welcome!

Or test your skills in the Trivia Competition or compete in the Scavenger Hunt!
A patriotic costume contest will also take place! Participants are encouraged to wear costumes and there will prizes in these categories:
Best Dressed Icon (Person, Character, Place etc) Overall Patriotic (Red, White, & Blue, etc)
Proceeds to help with Brookfield Middle School trips to Washington DC and Camp Fitch.
