Lace up, light up the way. Join the Surviving the Standard Foundation for the Lights and Laces Winter Classic 5K on Saturday, December 12, 2026 at Lake Wailes Park in Lake Wales, Florida. This chip-timed 5K follows the lighted, paved Lake Wailes Trail along the water and brings the community together in support of those who answer the call: law enforcement, fire, EMS, medical, corrections and dispatch. Every registration includes a race shirt and directly funds scholarships and leadership development for aspiring public safety professionals across Polk County and beyond. The Surviving the Standard Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Run, walk or cheer. Every step lights the way for the next generation of public safety.
