Hansen Dam End-of-Summer Bash
One More Run. One More Splash. One Last Summer Celebration. Saturday, August 29, 2026 | Hansen Dam Aquatic Center
Missed the Hansen Dam Splash ’n’ Dash. Or ready for another round? Join us for the Hansen Dam End-of-Summer Bash, another free community 5K and pool party brought to you by Citywide Aquatics to celebrate the final days of summer at Hansen Dam!
If you missed our first event, this is your second chance to hit the course, earn a Hansen Dam race medal, and experience the fun. And if you joined us for Splash ’n’ Dash, we’d love to welcome you back to cool off and join the pool party for FREE!
FREE 5K RUN/WALK
Start the morning with a fun, community-friendly 5K around Hansen Dam. While this race will not be officially timed or have published race results, timing devices will be available so participants can see and keep track of their own finish times.
Whether you’re chasing a personal goal, walking with friends and family, or just looking for a fun way to get moving, everyone is welcome.
Registration is completely FREE!
The first 250 registered 5K participants will receive:
A commemorative Hansen Dam race medal An event T-shirt
Quantities are limited, so register early!
THEN, IT’S POOL PARTY TIME!
After the 5K, trade your running shoes for a swimsuit and join us for a FREE community pool party at Hansen Dam Aquatic Center!
Enjoy free swimming and aquatic programming, cool off after your run, and spend the rest of the morning celebrating summer with family and friends.
Already joined us for Splash ’n’ Dash? Come back for the pool party! You don’t have to run another 5K to be part of the fun—we’d love to see you again.

We heard from community members who wanted to join us earlier this summer but weren’t able to make it. The End-of-Summer Bash is your chance to get in on the fun and still earn a Hansen Dam medal.
