Beginning September 2, 2026, Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren is taking on the biggest physical challenge of his life: BUU 250. The President will run and bike 250 miles across the Navajo Nation, traveling through communities from Navajo Mountain and Monument Valley to Red Mesa, Red Valley, the Bisti Badlands, Lukachukai and Canyon de Chelly, before finishing at the Window Rock Fairgrounds on September 11, 2026
But this isn’t just about running. It’s about showing up for our people.
The Buu 250 is designed to bring the work of government directly to the people. Each day's run will be paired with a Navajo Nation Resource Fair, giving community members an opportunity to learn about programs, services and resources available to them. Resource fairs will take place at communities along the route, creating a direct connection between residents and the departments and programs working to serve them. We want you there.
Walk with us. Ride with us. Bring your family. Come learn. Come cheer.

This is a journey across Diné Bikéyah, but more importantly, it’s a journey with our people.
One route. One Nation. One community at a time.
