    About This Event

    Track Stars Youth Cross-Country Program 7 Weeks - Ages 6–14 -  September 2 – October 14

    Wednesdays 5:30pm - 6:15pm & Sundays 9:15am - 10:00am

Summer track might be over but get ready to hit the trails! Track Stars Youth XC is a fun, positive, and development-focused 7-week XC program for young runners ages 6–14.

Whether your child is brand new to running or already loves to race or has been a part of our summer Track Stars program. Our goal is to help every athlete build confidence, endurance, speed, and running skills while developing a love for cross-country and being part of a team. This program is founded by our amazing Head Coaches Dalton Gills and Teddy Koshgerian along side program Commissioner Micky Jones.

Two Age Divisions - ForeRunners - Ages 6–8 - 2k (1.24mi) Our youngest runners will train toward the 2K cross-country distance. Practices will focus on age-appropriate running, games, skill development, teamwork, and having fun on the trails.

Trailblazers  - Ages 9–14 - 3K (1.89mi) Our older runners will train toward the 3K cross-country distance, developing endurance, pacing, speed, hill-running skills, race strategy, and confidence.

Our program follows recommended USATF youth cross-country distance guidelines, with training tailored to each division's age and experience level.

Program Schedule Season: September 2 – October 14

    Practices: Wednesday evenings @ 5:30pm - 6:15pm and Sunday mornings @ 9:15am - 10:00am

Over the seven-week season, athletes will progress from foundational running skills into cross-country-specific workouts and race preparation.

The program will culminate with the Dual XC Championship on Sunday, October 18. This will be the final event of the season and a chance for every runner to put their training to the test in a true cross-country race environment.

ForeRunners will compete in the 2K championship race, while Trailblazers will take on the 3K championship course.

The Dual XC Championship is what we'll be working toward throughout the season. It's a chance for our athletes to experience the excitement of race day, compete alongside their teammates, challenge themselves, and celebrate everything they've accomplished over the seven weeks.

A True XC Experience - The Location  Practices will take place at the beautiful Spar Hill Farm and Preserve Park @ 434 Burnt Mill Rd, Chadds Ford, PA 19317, giving our runners the opportunity to train in a true cross-country environment.

We have custom-mapped 2K and 3K cross-country courses that take advantage of the park's natural terrain and give our athletes a great place to learn and train.

Throughout the season, runners will work on hills, pacing, race starts, uphill and downhill running, passing, strong finishes, endurance, speed, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

But most importantly, we want kids to enjoy being outside, challenge themselves, make new friends, and have fun running.

    No Experience Necessary

Track Stars Youth XC is open to beginners as well as experienced young runners. Kids don't need to be the fastest runner or have previous cross-country experience to join.

We want every runner to leave the season stronger and more confident than when they started. We'll celebrate effort, improvement, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal accomplishments throughout the program.

Come run the trails with Track Stars and finish the season at the Dual XC Championship on October 18!
