San Antonio SWIFT XC Classic — Event Description
Get ready to SOAR WITH SWIFT at the San Antonio SWIFT XC Classic, a high-energy cross-country event bringing together young athletes, competitive runners, families, and the San Antonio running community for a morning of racing at McAllister Park!
Taking place Saturday, October 24, 2026, the SWIFT XC Classic is designed to give runners of multiple ages the opportunity to test themselves in a true cross-country atmosphere. San Antonio SWIFT emphasizes age-appropriate development, hard work, integrity, and helping athletes reach their potential, making this event about more than just finishing times—it’s about competition, confidence, sportsmanship, and family.
Racing begins at 7:30 AM, with rolling starts throughout the morning. Distances are tailored by age:
8 & Under: 1 Mile Ages 8 & under : Age-group competition Ages 9–14: 2 Mile Age-group competition for the following 9-10, 11-12, 13-14 Ages 15 & Up/Open: 5K
The competition doesn’t end at the finish line. Medals will be awarded to the Top 5 male and female finishers in each age group, while T-shirts will be awarded to the Top 3 in each age group.
The SWIFT XC Classic is also meant to be a great morning for the entire family. Spectators can cheer on their runners while enjoying music, food, drinks, event T-shirts, and a fun community atmosphere.
