Join us for the Cops & Monsters 5K Run/Walk, hosted by the Indiana State University Doctor of Physical Therapy program! This family-friendly event promotes physical activity, community involvement, and support for ISU DPT students attending the 2027 APTA Combined Sections Meeting (CSM).
Run or walk the 5K, enjoy designated splash zones with local first responders, and have some fun while supporting future physical therapists. Registration includes an event T-shirt.
All individuals wanting a shirt must be registered by October 1, 2026 in order to guarantee a shirt. Individuals that register on or after October 2, 2026 understand that they may not receive a shirt.
Race Day Information Parking Parking is available throughout the Indiana State University campus. Most campus parking lots are free on weekends, and participants are encouraged to follow all posted parking signs and restrictions.
Additional visitor parking is available near the center of campus, including the North Visitor Pay Lot near Hulman Memorial Student Union and the Pavilion Visitor Pay Lot at 7th Street and Larry Bird Avenue.
Please allow extra time before the race to park, check in, and make your way to the starting area.
Check-In Race-day check-in will take place near the start/finish area. Participants should arrive early enough to check in, receive race-day materials, and be ready prior to their scheduled start time.
Additional race-day details will be emailed to registered participants as the event approaches.
Waivers By registering, participants acknowledge that participation in a 5K involves physical activity and inherent risks.
Additional event and liability waivers will be sent to participants following registration and must be completed prior to race day. A parent or legal guardian will be required to complete applicable waivers for participants under age 18.
Weather & Cancellation Policy The show will go on — rain or shine!
The Cops & Monsters 5K will take place regardless of typical rain or cool weather conditions. Please dress appropriately for the forecast.
For participant and volunteer safety, event organizers reserve the right to modify, delay, or cancel portions of the event in the event of severe or dangerous weather conditions.
Registration fees are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued due to weather, inability to attend, or event modification/cancellation.
What to Bring Participants are encouraged to bring:
Comfortable running or walking shoes Weather-appropriate clothing A change of clothes or towel if participating in the Splash Zones Water as needed Your Halloween spirit — costumes are encouraged!
Please make sure costumes are safe to run or walk in and do not obstruct vision or create a tripping hazard.
