Join Journey Church on Saturday, November 21st for a fun-filled 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run as we come together to raise awareness, honor those affected by cancer, and support the fight against childhood cancer through St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Whether you’re a runner, walker, or just looking for a fun event for the whole family, we want you to be part of the Geaux for the Gold 5K!

The first 50 participants who pre-register online will receive a FREE copy of Pastor James Greer’s new book, CANCER: Prayer of Hope, a source of encouragement for those walking through the cancer journey. Filled with powerful prayers, Scripture, and words of hope, this book is designed to remind you that you are not alone and to help strengthen your faith as you seek God through every step of the journey toward healing.

Race Day Schedule 6:00 AM - Community Vendor & Business Setup
Participating vendors, community organizations, and local businesses may begin setting up their booths and displays.
6:30 AM - Same-Day Registration & Packet Pickup Opens
Participants can register for either race, pick up race bibs and shirts, and get ready for the morning's activities. Kid's jumpers open.
7:30 AM - 1-Mile Registration Closes
7:35 AM - 1-Mile Group Warm-Up & Stretching
7:45 AM - Opening Ceremony & Prayer
8:00 AM - 1-Mile Fun Run Starts
8:10 AM - 5K Registration & Packet Pickup Closes
8:15 AM - 5K Group Warm-Up & Stretching
8:25 AM - 5K Lineup & Final Instructions
8:30 AM - Geaux for the Gold 5K Starts

9:30 AM - Awards & Celebration
Celebrate our participants, recognize race winners, and honor the individuals and families who inspire this event. Awards will begin once official results are available.
